Incident response Β· Escalation Β· On-call

Alerting, escalation, and on-call that never miss a page.

Incident response for any team, any stack, from first alert to acknowledged.

When something breaks, JAMS Incident Management makes sure the right person picks up (call, SMS, push, email, Microsoft Teams, or Slack) and keeps escalating through your on-call schedule until the alert is acknowledged. Built for the teams that can't afford a missed page.

How SMS and voice are counted. Only texts and phone calls count against your allowances β€” email, push, Microsoft Teams and Slack are unlimited on every plan, including Free. Each message on each channel counts separately, so reaching one person by both call and text spends one of each, and every additional recipient or escalation step adds more. Both allowances are per user but pooled across your team, so adding someone raises them. We email your admins at 75% and 100% of each allowance; past a limit, that one channel pauses until it resets next billing cycle while the others keep delivering. Add users, buy extra SMS, or move up a plan at any time to raise it immediately.

Centralized Incident Management

One dashboard for every incident.

JAMS Incident Management brings incidents from all your sources (Azure Monitor, ServiceNow, Zendesk, JAMS Scheduler, email, webhooks, and API) into a single dashboard and Incidents view. Security teams get full visibility of delivery health, active incidents, and recent activity across every channel, in one place.

Case Management & Workflow Tracking

Every incident is a tracked case, with an owner, a timeline, and actions.

Each incident is owned by your on-call rotation and escalation policy and carries a full timestamped audit trail: who was notified, who acknowledged, what they did, and when it was closed. Responders acknowledge, resolve, or remediate right from the alert, and the linked record stays in step everywhere it lives.

Automated Incident Response

Predefined playbooks fire the moment an incident is detected.

When an alert arrives (from Azure Monitor, another monitoring tool, or a new ServiceNow incident or Zendesk ticket), JAMS Incident Management automatically routes it through your on-call rotation and escalates until it's acknowledged. Responders act right from the alert on any channel (voice, SMS, Microsoft Teams, or Slack) with the same set of responses:

  • Acknowledge or resolve, and JAMS Incident Management updates the linked record: the Azure Monitor alert moves to Acknowledged (or Closed), the ServiceNow incident to In Progress (or Resolved), the Zendesk ticket to Open (or Solved), with an audit note where the system supports one.
  • Run remediation on the source system (for example, restart, continue, or cancel a failed JAMS Scheduler job).
  • Open a new ServiceNow incident or Zendesk ticket straight from the alert, pre-filled with your runbook instructions so whoever picks it up knows the next steps.

Every action closes the loop back to the source system, so nothing gets done twice or by hand.

FAQ
Do I need JAMS Scheduler to use this?
No. JAMS Incident Management is fully standalone. It takes alerts from your monitoring tools, email, webhooks, or API and handles the paging and escalation on its own. If you also run JAMS Scheduler, there's a built-in bonus: job failures can open incidents automatically. That integration is optional, not a requirement.
What happens if I hit my monthly notification limit?
We email your admins when you reach 75% and again at 100% of an allowance, naming the channel affected. On a paid plan you're not locked out β€” only that one channel pauses until it resets at the start of your next billing cycle, and everything else keeps delivering. Running out of texts never stops your calls, emails, push, Teams or Slack. You can raise it right away by adding users, buying extra SMS, or moving up a plan.
What counts toward my SMS and voice allowances?
Only texts and phone calls. Email, push, Microsoft Teams and Slack are unlimited on every plan, including Free β€” they cost nothing to send, so we don't meter them. Each message on each channel counts separately, so reaching someone by both call and text spends one of each, and every additional recipient or escalation step adds more. Only messages we actually send count; undelivered attempts don't.
Which countries do you support?
Voice and SMS use phone numbers in the US, UK, and Australia today. Contact us to enable other regions. Email, push, Microsoft Teams, and Slack work anywhere, since they aren't tied to a phone number.
How does the free trial work, and what happens when it ends?
The trial runs 14 days with every feature unlocked and no credit card required β€” including voice calling, escalation policies, on-call scheduling and every integration. Email, push, Microsoft Teams and Slack are unlimited; you also get 50 SMS and 10 voice calls to test the telephony channels with. Invite as many teammates as you like. It pauses when the 14 days are up β€” not before, and running out of texts doesn't end it early. Picking a plan continues your account in place: your flows, users, and settings carry over, with no re-setup.
How is my data protected?
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS), and stored provider credentials are encrypted at rest. Each tenant's data is isolated, all access is authenticated, and optional single sign-on (OIDC) and audit logging are available. The service is hosted on Microsoft Azure.
